Lover’s Eye

Lover’s Eye is a jewelry project combining miniature oil painting with wearable objects. Each eye portrait is hand-painted from a photograph and set into silver, turning a personal image into an intimate, one-of-a-kind piece. The project brings together craftsmanship, portraiture and contemporary jewelry design.

The Concept

The project draws on the historical tradition of Lover’s Eye miniatures — intimate portrait objects created as personal keepsakes. Reinterpreted in a contemporary form, the eye becomes both a portrait and a symbolic object worn close to the body.

Hand-Painted Portraits

Each portrait is painted individually in oils from a selected photograph. Small variations in colour, light and expression make every piece unique. The miniature format requires precision and allows the painted image to become part of the jewelry object rather than simply an applied decoration.
